Seven is perfect.

A lot, actually. I worked construction a long time, so I could eat; and then there was the war. Downtown wasn’t an option most of the time. Not for me.

I understand. I rarely had time to myself back home.

And when I first arrived here - the first time - I took on four jobs to keep from getting bored. It may have been a little excessive.

I was a servant. I took care of our family's estate.

It is more complicated than it sounds.
It is my family home, but my father took another wife after my mother died.
When he passed, my stepmother took control of the estate.
